A few Mopars from my past!

This one started out as a Hemi Orange 383 auto in the floor with buckets, and we just went with a 440 six pack and lift off hood & Dana 60 to jazz it up a little.

Back when I was building cars we used a 35mm or a Poloroid camera so most of my older cars are not on a computer. lol

1971 Charger, actually started out as a slant 6 car and came with an 8 3/4" rear end factory, but a K frame later and it was 440 auto! lol

This is actually one of my favorites, I drove this daily and I added a 440 with 2 4's, and had 3:55 gears, great sleeper!

That's quite a collection you've had there!!! That '65 wagon is definitely a different one.

Yeah the 65 Belvedere II was different. Came with a wide block 318 paper weight and was 3 on the tree. Nice red interior. I loved the car, lots of room, and it was actually a little shorter than my 1969 Super Bee. You could let the back seat down and make love to your wife or girlfriends too, lol

The 1964 Polara B Body was cool too, original paint too. Just one spot above the rear wheel. Wish I had some of these right now!

Very cool I love seeing pictures from the past. The project cars are what I enjoy seeing the most.

Your best quote: "Back when 72 Challengers weren't worth anything." I'm not that old, but I do remember that period
of time.

Now, go to a car show and listen to the baby boomers that are only there to admire say over and over again "If I only knew..."
Crazy.

There were a few "undesirable" Barracudas floating around base when I was in the Marine Corps that I could
have owned for next to nothing. Saw an abandoned 1970 RR on base too, walking distance from my barracks room.
Thought many times that if I had any means to just tow it home with me I would have. Biggest problem there was
the bureaucracy that you'd have to negotiate to take possession of the car. The Corps would rather see it sit and
drip oil in a parking lot rather than let somebody actually do something with it.

Hell, I am not either I am not even 40 yet! I am talking not even 15 years ago a 1972 Challenger was just a parts car to most. If it was not a 1970 or 1971 people just turned their noses up. I knew of a 1973 Cuda with a 400 in it running and riving for $2000 and it was 4 speed, and needed very little and it was for sale for years. Same with the 1971 Chargers.

It seems I was into the cars that nobody wanted back in the 90's. In those days I drove them daily as transportation. I never owned a newer car until about 8 years ago. Before that I drove Mopars, and Mustangs daily to work, and in the winter I would buy an old C-body Polara or something for a winter beater as I called them. You can't really do this these days with gas and licensing prices. :drive:

I am more of a Pre 1966 B-body guy, then I skip to 1969 from there, but this was a decent car at a decent price and also has a really strong rebuilt 68 440 in it! (for now) Plan to sell the car later when I get my fill. ? It is pretty solid but has its issues. The paint job is a driver too, little orange peel, and some imperfections. If I were to keep it I would tear it down and repaint it. ?

My Stepdad had a '67 R/T droptop back in the late sixties. Bought it when it was a year old. Probably the only car he regrets ever getting rid of... Sold it to a guy in the early seventies that just wanted it for the 440 with the 915 heads and the Dana so he could use them in his race car... It probably doesn't exist anymore...

And no, he's not a car junkie...but he now recognizes the value of car...

I drove a 67 R/T clone for several years while in the Corps and then shortly after I got out. Quite honestly,
I never should have bought it. I could never come to like the rigid lines on those cars. Now, a
convertible model of them is a different story. There is a nice red 67 coronet 500 convertible cruising around
my town. Stunning car.

Rambling...anyway....enjoy the car. If you like it roll with it.
