General Description
1969 Road Runner convertible. 1 of 769 built with 383-V8 & 4-speed (less than 200 registered in Galen's Registry). Has factory in dash tach (not working), power steering, manual brakes, am radio (although fender tag indicates it originally came with the am-8 track player), bucket seats with console (I need to get the right Hurst shifter and boot, as they aren't the original style as the car was equipped with when new), around 94,000 miles. Current engine is a cammed up 383 from a 1970 Road Runner with about 8,000 miles on it since redone (used the original intake and carb), and I have the numbers matching engine that I'm trying to decide to rebuild as stock or turn it into a 496-stroker. Also thinking about adding power disc brakes. When the car had it's only repaint done a number of years ago the owner didn't have the original hood stripes repainted back on the car, so I may also put them back on the car. Just gives it that more muscle car look!
