Headers are currently off of my 69. Can I try to adjust worm gear without the engine running? The car is a power steering car. The front end is off the ground. I would appreciate any help.
Have a 69 RR with 383 4 speed. Build date is Jan 3, 69. The partial build sheet doesn’t help. Is there any way of knowing if it originally had a 22” or 26”? Car was built in California, would it have had a shroud?. The radiator that’s in it now is 26” wide. I would appreciate any input, thanks.
can anyone tell me what color blue the seat belts were on the 69 decor dark blue/light blue interior? Also would it have had the 3 point shoulder or the lap belt. It was a December 68 production car. There is a threaded hole in the roof just above the post so I'm thinking it was originally...
Ok, yeah I got the VIN but am having trouble with build date on block. I will check the area in front of dist. Think it got painted over. I see a machined area but alternator is kinda in the way. Think I'll pull it off and use steel wool and see what I find. Thanks
Can someone tell me where on my 383 is the build date stamped. I've been told it's around the distributor but I think it has been painted over. Is the surface vertical or can you see it when looking down at the block. Do I have to pull alternator to see it?

Thanks, it is a numbers matching car and am trying to get it back to as close to original as possible. You are confirming the way I preferred to go. Appreciate all of your expertise and time. Now my 2nd question, the fender tag shows a build date of January 69, the Carb that I've found for sale...
I'm new to the site and don't pretend to be a mechanic. I wanted to get some advice, I bought my 69 Road Runner 4sp about one year ago. It has a Carter AFB Competition Series carb that has no choke. Should I buy a 1969 AVS 4615s used and have it refurbished or go with a new aftermarket carb...
