    440 about ready.

I got this original style chrome one from Mancini Racing. They also have the black ones. I added the 440 Four Barrel sticker because I cannot find the correct 440 Super Commando Pie Tin. I like it.

1969 RR 383 Air Grabber Box Kit

Tony's Parts maybe. It seems like a lot of after-market parts are not being made anymore. I can't find 440 air cleaner pie pans anywhere. Someone said Chrysler is not making or licensing parts to be made anymore. Maybe they want us all to go to the Gen 3 HEMI.

    Temp too high??

I installed a shroud with an electric fan. It was 108 degrees F here yesterday, and this is as high as my gauge got. It was driven and then left to idle. Too high????

On a stock 69 temp gauge, what are the actual from-to numbers in the safe zone? Looks like 170-230 F from what I can find online but does anyone know for sure??

    440

I used a 440 block from a 1976 Winnebago. I tore it down and had my machine shop clean, magnaflux, install new cam bearings, and bore it 30 over. I had a steel crank and LY rods. Minor Electrical Blues

When we were kids and saw reverse lights on all the time, we were told that it was a Fast Car. It was "All Hopped Up." What a great memory.

    Valve Covers

I got the same valve covers. I found a pin-stripe guy who painted my MOPAR HEMI orange. I have leaks. I have a set of cork gaskets I will give a try. Sometimes, the old-school way is best. Now if I can find a 440 Super Commando pie pan.

Factory original Chrysler ammeter-based Charging System and additional loading. Load placement matters!

My ammeter died so I just connected both wires to one terminal. No problems since. I have thought about installing a voltmeter in its place. Is there a kit sold for this?

    Wire harness replacement

One piece of advice. Don't throw anything away until the job is completed. You might need an example or a hard-to-find connector.

    Driveline upgrade

I have had Hookers, Doug's, and now TTIs on my 69 and Headmans on my old truck. I'm sold on the TTI headers. Expensive these days but well worth it.

    Power Steering gear box

I tried a Flaming River quick ratio manual box. It was too hard to turn. Went back to the power. Got a bit of play but much easier to drive. I'll try to adjust that play out soon.
