Has anyone put rear mud flaps on their car. I am getting some chips on the lower fender and wheel opening on the rear quarter panel. If you have then advice would be appreciated on the where you bought them. I don't think I need much of one just enough to stop rocks and grave from chipping off...
Out for a cruse yesterday and while driving it started to spit and sputter then shut off. Could pump the pedal and it fires then dies. New Holley carb and showing fuel in the site glass on the bowl. Coil not that old and wonder if it may be the ECU box. I am lost. Had to have it towed home...
Just wanted to let you know think I have broken the Ice for the runner to win trophies. At least 14 inches in height. Did not expect to win one. Local downtown car show. Had the car their before but did not win anything. You know it is all about looking at what other people have done and what...
Has anyone put a set of these heads on a 383. Directions state after installation fire up the motor and bring to running temp then let it cool down and retorque the heads. This is a bummer, but I guess it is what it is. More work . If you have these heads, how do they work for you. Thanks Russ.
Ok I have Cragar SS rims that are uni lug and having problems with them. They are 4 1/2 inch back set. Now trying to find a set of direct drilled. but only finding 4 1/4 back set. Will this work and give me enough clearance. 15X 8 rims. Thanks Russ.
On my 383 motor. There is a timing plate down by the harmonic balancer. The drilled hole is tdc. Now before that is a few slashes on the plate. Can not read what they indicate on degrees. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Russ.
Can I pull the trans. if taking the shifter loose and disconnect the shift linkage loose. Hope I can sneak the trans. out. Need to do a seal replacement on the front shaft. I have a console and really don't want to pull it if I don't have too. Thanks for any input. Russ.
Well as you guys know I had radiator problems. After getting another one and putting it in on a short drive from my house to a friend's blew the upper radiator hose off. Let it cool down for three hours. He only lived two miles away. So put the hose back on and filled it up. Drove it home. A few...
So being that time of year again. Wonder what the rest of the guys are asking for on this day. Like stuff for the car. So just want to say Happy Holidays to you all. :thumbsup2:
As you all know had radiator problems. After spending two weeks making the A/C compressor move back so I could get more clearance between the radiator and fan. Put one of those upper hose filters in to keep debris out of the radiator. Was getting fluid on my motor and the engine from a leak...
Any other guys out there here in Fl. with runners close to central area. There are three of us that get together and would like to have a few more of us meet up like at old town or someplace close to all of us.
So, to say had to work really hard to get the A/C compressor moved back towards the motor to give me clearance enough. So, I could move the fan away from the radiator. After days of cutting on the A/C mounting bracket was able to get it moved back 3/4 inch. What a job it was the compressor...
Has anyone got a way to stop the mirrors from moving. Tried super glue but that did not work. They are just too loose. Can set them but when driving they move out of adjustment. All thoughts appreciated.
This is a sad day to remember for sure. Let us never ever forget this day and hope something like this doesn't happen again. God bless all those lives lost that day and those who lost their lives fighting to get the thugs that did this. :usflag:
Had noticed a bump noise when turning left or right. While having the radiator out grabbed the passenger side strut and felt it move. So retorqued the bolts on both struts and at 45-foot lb.'s got quite a bit of movement before the torque wrench clicked. Guess things do loosen up after...
Now have an Aluminum radiator ordered from Classic industries. OER. Finding out that the core has moved closer to my fan and trying to find a happy medium for a spacer to fit. If I move it back too far then it will hit my A/C compressor. My wife said she did not know that there would be so much...
My brass copper radiator is leaking out the bottom. Cracks in the tank. It has been in the car for two years and only 4000 miles on the car since restored. I purchased it new from Roseville and after reading the warranty. Printed on the sales slip see there is no warranty covered by them. I am...
Well thought I had the problem solved. Water is accumulating in the curve of the dash near my E brake and dripping out on the carpet there. We really poured the urethane to gasket surface of the car for the front window. I know that everyone says it is leaking around the window gasket but just...
