    Dome Light Socket Problem

Thanks for offering to look for parts at the Nats Dave :encouragement: I am so not wanting to splice and dice this socket...let me know if the one in your truck looks the same on the inside of the socket.

    Dome Light Socket Problem

Original dome lamp housing socket and wire harness assembly not found locally (yet) and I won't buy the rusty e-bay offerings IF I can fix the original. I still need someone to confirm where the disc that holds the contacts and springs is situated: above or below in the socket? The Taiwanese...

Welcome from Alberta, Canada. I'm sure you will find this group of Bird Lovers a good one! IMHO if you change out the leaf springs, you won't need to use coil-over shocks. A good pair of gas-charged shock absorbers is a better fit on the '73 road runner. I had a '73 Satellite Sebring and I...

Question Re: Headlight Bezel Paint Color

I'm still being held hostage by concrete work and now...the weather! Thunderstorms and increasing amounts of rain in the forecast have delayed the pour - it was scheduled for tomorrow and Friday, but now not going to happen. Maybe next week, and then it's curing time

    Dome Light Socket Problem

It shouldn't be so tough to change a light bulb... I haven't had the dome light assembly apart since the new headliner went in, and wanted to find out why I couldn't seem to remove the #1004 bulb from the socket. No simple twist to the left and pull with this socket, it was well and truly...

Question Re: Headlight Bezel Paint Color

Thank you for attaching a picture of the bezels Dave. I will keep the reproduction set a while longer- they don't appear to be getting any cheaper to ship to Canada. It is good to know that the dark argent is considered correct for the road runner. The original grille and bezels seem to be of...

Question Re: Headlight Bezel Paint Color

When installing a new front lighting harness in my car, I had the opportunity to check out the condition and appearance of the front headlight bezels and grille. Replaced missing and mis-matched hardware as required- although I would have been seriously SOL if I didn't have my stash of original...
