The pinion snubber? Are you looking for just the rubber, or the whole part that bolts on tip of the diff? Macncini Racing carries some.
Classic Industries has just the rubber part: http://www.classicindustries.com/shop/search/?q=pinion%20snubber
LOL! Yeah, definitely not thick enough carpet in that car!
My plans for the stroker will include an SFI housing. Just looking to drop some weight with the 400" in the car.
Absolutely correct, An SFI bellhousing that is out of certification can be had relatively cheap. I think it will handle the power of the stock 400 going in the car for now. It has slightly less horsepower than the blown nitro burning HEMI's the front engined dragsters ran. ;)
It came home tonight! I have some body work ahead of me but the structure is there and I have something to work with. More pics from loading up and bringing it home tonight.
Thanks Mahoney, I didn't know the flywheel diameters were different. Even if it's not a lot of weight off the car it has to be less rotating mass attached to the motor so it can rev easier. I would imagine it would just have to be balanced with the rotating assembly when the motor is built.
Thank you sir, but I'm not looking to get rid of any of the original parts. I have a numbers matching motor and trans for the car that I'm not using, so I want all of the original stuff in case I ever have a wild hair to "Restore" it.
I'll check our Brewers Performance once I get home!
Is there an aluminum factory bellhousing available for a big block/A-833 combination? In my quest to shave weight off my 69 RR I realized there is probably 25 or 30# to be saved by not putting the iron one back in the car. If an aluminum one isn't available I may consider a steel aftermarket...
Welcome! I would love to build a B-Body with the full Hotchkiss suspension kit someday. Need to find a clean Belvy or Satellite to build a sleeper out of (No one falls for dog dish hubcaps on a Roadrunner anymore). Post up some pictures of this beast! Looking to build a stroker of some size...
Droptop, I need all three. The top dash pad isn't too bad, one crack that could probably be fixed, but it's faded pretty bad. The lower dash pad looks like it sat in a swamp. I scrubbed most of the dirt/mold off of it, but it is cracked pretty bad. The glove box door foam is all mis shapen and...
Hi guys, going through dash parts as this will be the first big job to tackle on the car once it's painted.I've found a couple places that make repro dash pads (top piece). But does anyone make repro lower dash pads and/or glove box doors? Mine are "useable" but have some cracks and I'd like to...
Nice car, I'd love a convert someday.
On your shifting/transmission issue: Make sure there isn't too much fluid in the trans. This will cause weirder issues than low fluid levels will. If the fluid level is over the valve body of the trans then fluid is getting in places it shouldn't be at...
I bought mine new as a leftover in 2005. The CBR1000RR had just come out and was the new hottness for Superbike racing. The RC51's were sadly languishing in showrooms, but the soul of that bike called out to me over the inline 4. I've never regretted that decision. I regretfully put a couple of...
