Suggestions for a good street/strip clutch set?
Since I'm in the market for a new clutch set now, what would you all suggest as being a good one for street/strip use?
I'm getting all the electrical stuff out and disconnecting things like the wiper motor, but I have to get behind the dash to do it all. Is there a secret set of connectors or screws holding the thing on? Where are the main clips or bolts that I should be looking for?
Ever since I was a kid I have been wondering how many 1969 RR's are left out there in running or non-running but restorable condition (ie, not junkyard / backyard ditch trash). There's no way for anyone to really know, but surely there are ways of estimating by the years it has been, avg # of...
No sentimental value for a clutch... :loco: It's just that it has looked like a piece of junk ever since I took it out in November and I wanted to know if such a thing was good to go ahead and replace and if this one was as worth throwing out as I thought it was.
Thanks for confirming what I...
I've been meaning to ask this for a few months now, but I'm just now getting around to it... Here are a few pics of my 11in pressure plate. It's pretty rusty and from what I have been told, it is not the original to the car. Did RR's come stock with 10.5in clutch assemblies?
Does mine look...
Thanks for the advice fellahs. I'll have to look at what I've got. I'm very phobic about rust, and while I've got the car coming apart, I just want to do a 100% job rather than some of the ghetto jobs I see around town. You know the ones where you've got a beefed up monster engine pushing...
It looks like the underside of my RR has had some sort of rust proofing already, many years ago. The original owner didn't mention it to me, but it looks apparent. How do I get the old stuff off and then when I put new stuff on, what are your recommendations as being a good rust proofer for...
Having watched a lot of car shows in the last couple of years, I have seen the two types of dyno's people can use - one for power at the flywheel and the other for power at the rear wheels. Since a rear end ratio change out is one of the quickest ways to multiply power to the wheels, I am...
What kinds of exhaust set ups are you all running? I am particularly interested in mufflers that you all use. The original owner had glass packs. Those have long since disappeared and I'm not even sure what kind of mufflers are on it now. I would certainly like an exhaust system that can...
One of my peers in back high school had a souped up import of some sort, fart cannon and all that. Well anyway, one day it got stolen out of his driveway. He had insurance so, he was able to recoup some money for it, but he was pretty miffed about losing the car since he had put some work into...
Sounds like a great plan fellahs. I'll put the 318 in a corner for a Dart or something if one comes up in my future.
It's about 450 miles to Hope from here so I will have to try and find a good chunk of time to try to get up there. :drive: Since I'm working like a dog lately, that may be a...
I'm definitely considering this, Hoosier! You've got a very generous offer. :D So, I have a question related to this. I am wondering if I can use the wiring harness and other necessary parts like the starter from my '79 Dodge pickup in the RR. I'm having it scrapped soon, so I'm yanking as...
That's pathetic... "I can turn my Satellite into an A12 and sell it for 10x the price if I pry off that guy's fendor tag!" People need to get a life. I personally enjoy the different models and options that were available. If I had a simple Belvedere or Satellite, I'd be happy to add it to...

Apparently it was originally a B5 car. The exterior paint you see there is not the original coat. I'm not sure on the engine bay color.
The first pic is of my Road Runner roughly around 2000. Ignore the junk Ford wheels on it. The tires it had were flat so we stuck those on just to get it outta the garage that day.
The others are new pics of the RR in my immaculate, ordered garage. :leave: Note the awesomeness that Clint...
