Russ, thanks for the reply. My problem is, I don't want to do anything that's going to take the car out of service for extended periods and how much am I going to put into it. Its not a number matching show quality car. It's a very nice head turner driver, but will never bring the$60-100k+++...

Back in the day when we installed an 8 track or cassette player we would install round speakers in the lower door panel, towards the front of the door and a pair of oval speakers on the rear window deck.. Old school version of surround sound..

I found a 4 ohm replacement. Vendor info attached. QUESTION: Is there any value in the old core speaker, for the purest that want to get it reconed?
