I'm in need of my last part!
It's the bottom/channel/pivot section of the vent window for the drivers side. I also need the latch.
Can anyone help me or steer me in the right direction?
I know it's been covered a million times, but when I search the archives it redirects me to our old site and won't work.
I need the decal placement measurements for the doors, dash, and deck lid...PLEASE!
A buddy of mine recently decided to take a 400 motor from the 70's and stroke it to 499. The result is BIG hp and torque, and only about $8-10k in the motor. Also, they look identical to a 383 when in the engine bay.
Sounds like a cool idea to me....
I posted another thread with a link to a video of me driving her, and added a couple new photos.
Steve, I should get to bring it home in about 3 weeks or so, pending any hang-ups.
Although it's only about 90% done, I was able to take her for a short little spin today. I drove it around the block a few times, and racked up her first 2 miles on the clock. I took my six year old son, Nathan with me. I let him sit in the front and steer a bit, too.
We put the emblems and...
We started my 69 RR vert for the first time in 32 years!
The Accurate Exhaust system sounds great. The engine is very responsive.
I shot a quick video on my cell phone.
It won't be long now...

That wasn't a close call. Steve has a close call every time he backs that car down his driveway. You ever see that video?!?!?
I bet you get all kinds of attention in a big American muscle car on that side of the pond!
I've been meaning to post some fresh photos of my 69 RR vert.
It's a bit further along than this, but haven't been out to take pictures in a week or so.
Hoping to have it home by the end of July...fingers crossed!
My builder thinks we'll be able to fire her up on Saturday.
I used the US Car Tool sub frame connectors on my 69 RR convertible. It's a problem running your prebent lines after they're installed...but it's an easy fix.
Here's a pic of the fix...
That's what I need! Thanks for the link, Bob.
I don't need the screens. I don't have an Air Grabber set-up. I was able to score a nice set of the hood insert blanks from Tony's Parts.
I'm going to email Mike Ross from BE&A to see if I can buy it without the screens.
Check out the...
Does anyone know where I can find a new hardware kit to install the hood insert screens/blanks?
I remember seeing something years ago, but can't find it now.
Alex
It's been a while since I've given an update on my RR vert project.
It's getting close to complete, and should be on the road by the end of July.
These aren't the most updated pics, but my builder recently uploaded some to his website.
Check them out...
I've only seen them in black and white. A lot of guys with tan guts use a tan parade boot.
I just bought a new black top from Dante's in the correct crushed grain.
I found and bought a decent set of headlight buckets on ebay.
I've bought just about all I can from all of the companies...Year One, Roseville, Mancini's, Classic Industries, Legendary, AMD, MegaParts, Dante's, Tony's Parts, etc.
The vert is moving along. It should be done in a couple months.
I'm looking for a few parts. I wanted to pick your brains to see if they are being repopped or if anyone has them.
