Very cool story. I always enjoy reading about stories like these. Congratulations on finding another car.
I still get to live my youth. I still have my car from when I was a teenager and yes, I still feel 16 again whenever I drive it. Over 232,000 miles now and still unrestored. First picture...
The extra cost for ceramic coating isn't worth it in my opinion. They still burn and rust over the years. I just have Hooker Super Comps on my Charger. I blasted mine when new to get rid of cheap shipping paint and repainted BBQ high heat satin black. Been on there 34+ years and I now have over...
I needed some used bumpers for my 70' Roached Runner when I first brought it home. It was difficult to find even beat up used bumpers to throw on it for the rat muscle look that I decided to leave and not restore this one (yet). I still may some day being a factory TX9 A/C post car....
All of the musclecar dealerships are a rip off. Never worth their prices. Most are consignment cars anyway so no one that works there knows anything about the cars they are selling.
My 70 also has A/C which is why I asked, but not much of anything else for options. Manual steering, Manual 4 wheel drum brakes, bench seat, column automatic.
Since Road Runners were a low option/stripper low cost model. How rare is A/C as an option? I don't see many with any major options unless upgraded to a GTX.
I haven't ever bothered switching torsion bars going from a small block to big block, or from a big block to a Hemi and never had any issues. I just re-adust the torsion bar bolt as needed to raise the front end back up if needed.
The black one is mine. The red one is one of my buddies car.
Not many like the black one after it beats there high dollar cruiser/show cars. Let's just say it is way faster than it looks.
I have a custom made aluminum rad to resemble a factory radiator with dual electric fans. It keeps my 528" Hemi on the street cooler than any other car that I have owned.
