Looking good so far. I don't think I will ever do a full resto on my Roached Runner since it is only a 383 car. However, I did also install the full floor pan to at least make it safe to drive. Even check out my 70's seat covers....
Still made the Road Runners in the F body/Valare platform in the late 70's early 80's also and with the E58 360 option they were pretty fast cars. My buddy had several of them as we were kids.
I installed a pair on one of my buddies mild build 400/451 stroker. After cam break in and several heat cycles we re-torqued them. He now has thousands of miles and several years on them with no issues.
The ramps/runners are like 24" wide even if you are a little off it will still be okay. I usually pull my car alot closer to the left side of the runners. That way I have more room between the vehicles for the vehicle to the right of the car on the ramps.
I have the opposite fun. I never challenge anyone to race. I like when other musclecars and today's newer iron challenge or rev their engines at me and I blow their doors off in my Roached Runner. They never expect it from this old p.o.s.
I like it. That is why I just leave mine alone and drive it as is.it is almost to rough to try to restore. However, I did replace the entire floor pan section to at least make it safe to drive.
