Chris bending backwards? I heard about that with him and his goats. We're all actually patiently waiting for Chris' book on that subject matter.

It just goes to show you that the A12 cars really drew a different audience when ordering a Road Runner. Many of the B5 and F8 cars in my files are very low optioned machines. It's not uncommon to find these cars with just the R11 radio as an option.

Somewhat. B5 and F8 were two of the most popular colors in 1969. I have 60 F8 cars in my files with 8 having that same combination. And, above that, 3 take it one step further with a V7F side stripe. Quadruple green, my friend!

You are 100% correct on the typo. Looks like we're squared up from your post on price drops, if we're keeping score ;-) And yes, these are original stripes. I've documented 3 cars with their original V7_ stripes and all have the same point at the nose of the car.

I'm down to these four colors. Also, below is a survivor Bahama Yellow car that I shot a couple of weekends ago. Beautiful machine still wearing it's V6X striping.

You were looking at a clone. "Updated from a 440 high performance engine by the original owner in 1985 at chrysler with year correct 426 hemi engine coded 2468330!" Here's the real asking price on a legit 69 Hemi GTX vert. http://www.cars-on-line.com/80185.html

There has never been a wider gap between similarly equipped cars. You could have two RM27 cars side by side and one could be 75K and the other 35K. It always comes down to the originality of the drive line, paperwork and the options the cars came with.

A PPG paint chart is far from a "Chrysler color book". TSB Seq. No. 71 specifically notes the color as Omaha Orange. But hey, you're the expert and I'm just some guy writing a book on 69 Road Runners that's, "made up of crap you read on the Internet".

I've been fairly successful through my Lost Muscle Cars facebook page in reuniting owners with their old cars or finding history on them. PM me some info and I will post it on there for you.
