Went through the same thing that Ray did with the ModTop in 2013. I just wonder if it has anything to do with the 5 on 4” bolt pattern. Has anyone bought any 5 on 4.5” Cragars lately?
With only a 110 degree lobe separation, you be close to having both valves open at the same time and that will create very little vacuum at idle. Good luck.
Just loosen the allen set screw about 2 turns and then unscrew the ball. The button is spring loaded so be ready for it to pop out when you get to the end of the threads.
