    Oil pump problem

Even though the screen was clean I wonder if there is a restriction in the pick-up tube or block passage? Did you happen to take the pick-up off when you had the pan off? What oil pan and pick-up combo are you running?

    New Lower Radiator Support

Update on the car. It's still at the body shop. Been there since November. Was supposed to take two weeks. Imagine that. Anyway. We've been working on repairing what I'd consider to be light collision damage to the driver side front. No determinable damage to the frame but the inner finder...

Ok want to go through an 383

Because of your note below regarding the pistons, there is a high likelihood that your 383 is supporting low compression if you're combining unknown pistons and 906 heads. Compression in the 8:1 range or even lower may be a reality. Unless you know for sure what type/brand pistons were installed...

    Cam

A lot of factors go into this, block decked, thicker head gaskets, heads milled, actual deck height, etc. That said, a friend of mine installed a Mopar .509 Purple Shaft into a stock 68 383 HP engine. He would beat the living daylights out of this engine. Heads had factory Magnum valve springs...

Getting my fender fasteners up to par...

Yep! Turkey pans from the dollar store have more uses that just turkey. As far as the fender fasteners go, I've spent a lot of time cataloging, sourcing, and refurbishing the correct factory bolts/nuts. Sad but true, Ace is NOT the place for these.
