Well this is my 69 Roadrunner project, definitely way in over my head. Thought I could get away with maybe changing back to original color, than found out I had rust and the interior was destroyed by spray paint.

looks like I have to take the two rivets off on the end. Previous owner did a shitty job and has paint all over the seal, etc. Just trying to get them cleaned up.
my rear leaf spring hangers that hold the front of the rear leaf spring bolts(studs) have all pulled out and even if I welded the studs back in they are shot. Rusted so bad the bolts have been eaten away, no way to thread on a nut anymore.
So the question is where do I buy the whole thing...

Another problem, the guy I purchased the car from changed the trunk floor and in doing so cut out the shock absorber housing and just welded the old one back in. He also took a couple of long thread rod and just welded it to the housing to hook up the fuel tank. (See Photo) So I am in the...
I think we will go for the body color on the trunk hook. Really appreciate the info, trying to do all the little stuff myself and let the body shop take care of the rest.
Ok not sure which door parts were originally cold galvanized, assuming the lock block that goes on the body, can you tell me what other parts. Hood latch? trunk? any other door parts?
So putting in new floor pans, old one is cut out and also had to remove the old wiring cover. The question is do I even need to put it back on the wiring cover that is. Of course I will need to get a new one but it does not seem to have a purpose. Will the carpet not fit correctly without it?
