    440 runs at 200 degrees

200 degrees is about perfect for a big block Mopar. Please don’t buy into the “I run a 180 thermostat, so my car should run at 180” misnomer. That is not how a thermostat works. The temp rating of the thermostat is the temp that it opens, not the temp the car will run at.

    Original carpet or replacement?

That appears to be the original carpet. Mine was much the same, and I would’ve reused it, but it was too mousey, and a little tattered in places.

Best fuel sending unit - where to buy?

There is no good aftermarket sending unit available out there, any you buy will not read correctly. There is a device called the meter master, which takes a new unit and calibrates it according to the best results you can get with the aftermarket. As for the gasket and wrench, and the ground...

    Scared to tell the wife

When there’s a Roadrunner in the house, can there really be another project before it? It will sit there.....calling you.....watching as you work.....guilting you, until you finally see the light and just push that other project aside. First good night of sleep you’ll get, I guarantee!

    Scared to tell the wife

My wife used to say “is that thing going TO the junkyard?” whenever I brought an old parts car home. She learned very quickly that they make me good money, and a 69 Roadrunner will always hold its value. It will keep you out of the bars, off the lakes, and have you groveling around her feet...

suggestions needed for a new clutch assembly

Bought it from Mancini because they’re only about an hour away from me. I did buy all the other rebuild stuff from Brewers, because Wayne helps me on a lot of stuff, and I sell all my extra 4 speed stuff to him. Everybody got a piece of cake from me, and I got a sweet setup!

suggestions needed for a new clutch assembly

I’m running a centerforce diaphragm behind my 6bbl and 18 spline, 3:54 rear. It’s a great setup, tho some may not like the diaphragm style, I find no problems.

    Birds of a Feather

There are a number of different air cleaner setups for fresh air cars throughout the years. The 383 and 440 setup for 69 are 2 different heights, because the 440 is taller than the 383, hence the RB “raised block” 413/426/440, as opposed to the “B” motor 361/383/400. He could just find himself a...

FOR SALE 1970 Plymouth Road Runner Orange RWD Manual ROAD RUNNER 2 Door Hardtop

Whew, some incredible engineering going on with that one. I mean, who needs a hump anyway? Don’t recognize those seats. As a matter of fact, the entire interior, engine bay, and trunk don’t match the rest of the car either.

    Electrical issue:1969 roadrunner

The gauges may ground to the housing, which grounds through the pivot bolt at the bottom of the dash at the kick panel. Lots of times when the dash is painted or powder coated, all ground is lost because of the paint. I sanded the inside lip of the tab where the bolt goes through, and used a...

    Lifter Clicking

You can pull the lifter and replace it, it will probably fix the problem if you’re sure which one it is. My car will tick when I first start it up, but by the time it warms up and I get up to the corner, the tick is gone, so I just drive it like that.

    Electrical issue...why she don't start?

Every now and again, I’ll get nothing when I try to crank my car over, but I’m sure it’s the starter relay, so I carry a screwdriver to jump the lugs. It’ll work fine for weeks, then nothing. Haven’t gotten around to changing it yet.

    This ever happen to you?

Most people wouldn’t know what you were talking about, even if you tried to tell them. They have a memory in their minds, and that may be the only thing they remember about cars in the past. I’ve had this talk with a couple of people recently, and I tell them that I’m in the hobby, and that’s...
