I have a 72 440 engine block that I had bored to 30 over. it was to be a stock rebuild for cast pistions, it was not sonic tested. The motor was not assembled. So I am changing my mind about the rebuild. I want to use this engine for street/strip racing, by installing a 505 stroker crank assembly. I want to know should I have the block sonic tested since the machine work was already done. And would the forged pistion work in the 30 over bore cylinders.
