It is a lot of work but the end is worth it I hope. I am still working on mine every single day. I have the wheel tubs welded in and need to finish off the welds. I tried sealer but is does not finish right so I am going to use a little bit of bondo to cover up my less than professional...
Tell me about it. I turned 80 on February 19th and it sure limits your stamina and abilities. I had my left knee replaced and my right knee is sure sore so I pay for it at night. You know what? It is totally worth it as I sure miss racing my '68 Road Runner in the 70's and how gratifying it...
I just turned 80 two weeks ago and am doing my 'I 70 Road Runner by myself. I just added the wider rear tubs and relocated the rear springs with the AMD kit. The car is up on 4 jackstands with 2 - 4" x 4" timbers on two tires abut where the tranny is just in case. I just finished welding...
I bought a partially restored '70 Road Runner on Ebay last October and am working on it every single day. I am retired It is a 440 4-speed and was a 383 car as it has an 8 3/4 rear end. I bought the Dana 60 that was shortened to 48" also on Ebay and am moving the rear spring mounts in to the...
I am still trying to buy a back piece for the GTX and/or Air Grabber hood. It has call outs plus turn signals but I just need the casting part. It would be nice to find a complete one though.
I am looking for the back panel for the air grabber hood in particular the piece that bolts to the hood. I also need the call out for a 440 and I also need the turn signals that go on it. I can get those at Classic Industries if I need to. I really need the piece that holds it all together...
I forgot to add that 90-10 shocks on the front complete the package. I am restoring a '70 Road Runner and I am refining a lot that I learned from racing my 1968 roadrunner in the 70's. I only have a 2 car garage so I do not have a lift or other abilities.
If you put spring clamps (5 each I think) on the forward side of the spring leaves so each leaf is clamped, it will end it. On both sides. The adjustable pinion snubber (I made one in 1965) will also help. It should contact the floor pan at launch.
