- Grew up in a Chrysler family across the board. Dad had a '55 Coronet, hdt, 270 3spd overdrive. I still have it today. We had a '59 Plymouth wagon. Took the family to California and back '59/60. Various others before I started to drive. First car was a '56 Custom Royal Lancer. 4dr, 315 3 spd. Had a lot of fun with that car. Next was a 340 , 4spd Swinger, '67 RT, '73 R/R. The R/R was silver/red stripes, white interior and 400 4spd. First wife totaled the car when a Corvair pulled across in front of her. She held the steering wheel so tight, the way it hit, the tie rod was bent like a horseshoe. Bought back, fixed up and then sold. I now have a '69 Dart GT, '10 Ram short box, '11 Grand Cherokee, and a'10 Challenger RT, along with a few others in process of fix up or maybe sell. So Mopar runs through my veins.
