Introduce Yourself
Native Californian. Vietnam veteran (Army). Built first car in 1960. Purchased new 69 Road Runner November 1968 - bare-bones 383 4-speed - Ivy green post car. After mild build ran 12.7. Purchased this 69 Road Runner 4 years ago - 383; post; blue exterior; blue and white interior. Restoration/build is in its forth year. Coming down the home stretch. While removing rust and Bondo discovered the car was originally Ivy green with black interior... which is what it will be when completed. Decoding the fender tag and what was left of build sheet, learned it was a special order Road Runner and sold for $4179.00 October 1968 in Long Beach, CA. The car has been stripped down to the bare shell and virtually everything replaced. Engine is a 509 stroker with a B&M trans and Detroit Truetrac and EZ FAST 2.0 system
